Nudge AF

How it works

Five pillars on the cadence of a career

Nudge AF is in early setup. The flow below is the working model — most of the surfaces are placeholders today and ship features as they're built.

  1. Step 1

    Set up

One Airman, one account. Sign in with email or Google. Pick a tier (Junior Enlisted, NCO, SNCO) so the platform's defaults match your developmental posture.

  2. Step 2

Pick the pillar that fits the moment

Performance, Improvement, Mentorship, Coaching, Personal Development. Most days you'll touch one or two. Notes you write in one pillar can be linked from another.

  3. Step 3

Capture supervisor feedback as it happens

Initial, midterm, and end-of-cycle feedback under DAFI 36-2406 still happen in the official channel. Use Nudge AF for the working notebook in between — observations, ALQ-aligned goals, accomplishments worth remembering.

  4. Step 4

Hold mentor and coach conversations on purpose

Per DAFMAN 36-2643, mentorship is voluntary and may cross rank lines; coaching is goal-oriented and time-bound. Each gets its own notebook so the relationships don't collapse into each other.

  5. Step 5

    Track the long arc

PME milestones (ALS, NCOA, AFSNCOA), CFETP progress, off-duty education, and the personal goals you choose live in the Personal Development pillar. Years from now this is the record you can scroll back through.
